I was thinking about what I think is simple (dare I say easy?) and what others might think as simple. In our own unique views we hold the source of enlightenment, an aha moment or a step in the right direction for someone else. Sometimes I take for granted the fact that I have learned to literally think my way to the reality I want. Seriously, I have journals from years past of what I wanted my life to look like, even from months ago of things I wanted to see change and I still have a list I’m working on, it will never end because there is always something to learn, something to grow in and somewhere to travel to.
Now, I’m not saying I have all the answers for anyone and I definitely haven’t always done things the easy way but what I can say is literally, if there is a will there is a way.
Example 1: Both my husband and I wanted to work from home. We had no idea HOW this would happen but set it in our minds and it eventually became our reality.
Example 2: Homeschooling – not in my plan but became a necessity for my son. Not something I even wanted to do but needed to and needed to figure it out quick. Now I’m feeling so spoiled and in love with my life that I have this opportunity to be home and raise my own kids while helping them explore the world around them and learn at their own pace.
Example 3: Becoming a single-income family and not lowering our standard of living. This was not an easy one. We moved states, changed careers, or in my case, left careers and have had to make new friends. However, we are loving our new lifestyle.
I guess my point is, if there is a change you want to make in your life that seems incredibly impossible let me be the first to say, it’s not, it’s very possible.
Don’t be afraid to put it out there.
Think and meditate about what you want to see changed. Write it down and speak as if it has happened.
Do be prepared when the universe (I call it God) answers you!
Your life will start to change, things might seem like they’re getting worse?! Stay focused on your outcome and be open to new experiences. You will be challenged, how much do you really want to make this change? You have to have the guts to see it through.
Do be courageous to accept the challenges that come with change.
You may not see things working out in your favor immediately, and the path to your end goal will almost certainly come in a completely different way than you’ve imagined but be certain that 3 or 6 or 12 months later, you will be able to look back and see that all of those crazy obstacles and changes in your life were happening to get you exactly to where you wanted to be. Take note of the small victories along the way to keep you motivated and focused.
